About the Project

Oblique
Act

Inspired by Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt's Oblique Strategies — a deck of cards designed to break creative deadlock through indirect prompts — Oblique Act takes that spirit somewhere more physical.

Where Oblique Strategies asks you to think differently, Oblique Act asks you to move. Each generated sentence isolates a verb — deny, allow, let go, turn down — and when you print, you receive a small bodily instruction tied to that action. Not a metaphor. Something you can do right now, in the room you're in.

The prompt is the thought. The printout is the act.
